HELPFUL MOVING TIPS
ExpressAddress is a great tool for checking off a number of Saskatchewan organizations you may need to change your address when moving.
As you work through the moving process, use this helpful checklist as way of keeping track of what has been done and what still needs to be done:
Arrange for all services to be switched over; contact SaskEnergy, SaskPower and the city office for specific steps that need to be followed
If the water softener and RO machines are rented arrange for a transfer of the rental agreement
Disconnect telephone, cable and internet services
If you are renting, give the necessary length of written notice to your landlord
Pick up 'change of address' cards from the post office and send them out before moving day
Arrange for the post office to forward your mail to your new address
Contact any contracted services and have them arranged at your new address; yard care, maid services, newspaper and magazine deliveries, etc.
If you are moving to a new community, get a letter of introduction from your current branch to help establish accounts at your new local branch; have trust and/or bank account information transferred
Cancel or transfer social, athletic, civic, religious or business affiliations and memberships
Arrange for your medical, dental, prescription and optical records to be transferred
Update your address on your driver's licence
Contact the Canada Revenue Agency to have all mail sent to your new address
